Abraham Ben Esra [Ibn Esra] (12. Century)
Ben Esra, also known as 'the wise', was a rabbi, was born between 1093 and 1096 in Calahorra, Spain. He compared the spheres of Ptolemy with those of the Persians and the Indic culture. He wrote several papers on Astrology. A Moon crater is named in his honor.
